Many people say their pets have never been kenneled. What do they think happens when the pet has to stay at the vet's for minor surgeries? They're kenneled. So your pet MUST GET USED TO being separated from you from time to time, this makes for a well adjusted pet.
We suggest you start dogs early to learn about riding in the car and your separation from him for a period of time. Check out our Doggie Day Care Service for puppies under 6 months old.

While you're having fun on your vacation your pets should have fun too. Many veterinarian clinics are not set up to board pets, they are, by design are for sick animals and for special treatments. Most times animals are confined to small cages in vet clinics, only to be let out to go potty at certain scheduled times when kennel techs are available. At Key-lore, we do not confine dogs to a small "cages". At Key-lore dogs are allowed free access to run areas at all times.
We have 45 indoor heated dog kennels and several individual cat apartments. Each individual kennel has its own indoor elevated resting enclosure and attached patio run. We can tailor fit your dog to a particular kennel size. Larger dogs will require the larger kennels, medium and small breeds the smaller kennels.
Our residence is attached to our boarding facility for constant monitoring, we are the only boarding kennel is Genesee County like that.
We have 12 acres of wooded trails to use for special exercise periods. If your pet likes the outdoors, we have plenty of room for exercise without walking near traffic.
For safety of your pet we remove all collars (except flea collars) before admitting to a kennel.
We will allow you to put your dog into a kennel if we find he is timid or protective. Many times our regular boarders know the routines and get very active when strangers enter the kennel, therefore limit your stay in the kennel area---and DO NOT stick your fingers in a strange animals kennel.
