Cremation Service

We provide two types of cremation service(*).

Private: same day service, only pet processed during cycle, pet's cremains returned in an urn.

Individual/group cremation: 3-5 working days, pet may be processed with other pets during cycle.

 

(*)Many people wonder, "will I get my own pet's cremains?"

Unlike other cremation facilities who may charge less, may only offer a "represention" of your pet's cremains, Pet Rest Gardens does not comingle cremains. Each pet is assigned a location in the cremation unit and identified. You can be assured the cremains that are returned are those of your pet and only yours.

 

CREMATION TERMINOLOGY

So there is no confusion with the types of cremations service pet crematories offer we provide this information on the type and quality of service offered by Pet Rest Gardens for the reader to consider when choosing a service and the differences in those services.

 

ATTENDED PRIVATE CREMATION: This is Pet Rest Gardens top of the line service. It allows the pet owner to take part in the actual cremation process. Depending on the size and condition of the pet, the pet is prepared for a final viewing in our office. When available, the pet is placed in a suitable rigid combustible cremation container. The pet owner/s are then allowed to escort the pet's body to the cremation building. The crematory retort has been cooled to receive the pet's body. The pet owner/s may have the option to assist in loading and the actual firing of the unit. This service is offered by appointment only. Attended Cremations are recommended to be the first cremation to be processed for the day.

Fees are determined by the actual amenities provided.

 

CERTIFIED PRIVATE CREMATION:

This is our more popular cremation services. PET REST GARDENS will pick the pet up from the home or veterinarian's office (*). If requested, and depending on the condition of the pet's body, the pet may be prepared for it's final viewing for the owner/s, at our office. Normally the cremation will take place the same day as it is received by the cemetery.

UNLIKE OTHER CEMETERIES OR VETERINARY CLINICS THAT OFFER WHAT THEY CALL "PRIVATE" CREMATION,

A PRIVATE CREMATION AT PET REST GARDENS MEANS

YOUR PET WILL BE THE ONLY PET IN THE CREMATION UNIT DURING THE CREMATION CYCLE.

FEES FOR A CERTIFIED PRIVATE CREMATION WILL RANGE FROM $165.00 TO $350.00 DEPENDING ON THE SIZE OF THE PET, URN INCLUDED.

CERTIFIED PRIVATE CREMATIONS ARE RETURNED IN A FABRIC COVERED TREASURE CHEST URN WITH CERTIFICATE

(STYLE AND COLOR MAY CHANGE ON AVAILABILITY)

 

INDIVIDUAL CREMATION:

IS A LESS EXPENSIVE SERVICE, UNLIKE THE SERVICES OUTLINED ABOVE WE MAY PROCESS SEVERAL PETS IN THE UNIT AT THE SAME TIME. YET EACH PET IS SEPARATED AND IDENTIFIED IN THE CREMATION CHAMBER. SMALL PETS ARE PLACED IN STAINLESS STEEL TRAYS. WHEN THE PROCESS IS COMPLETED, THE CREMAINS ARE PLACED IN AN IMPORTED DECORATED TIN BOX CONTAINER AND RETURNED TO THE OWNER. THE PET'S CREMAINS MAY BE PICKED UP AT OUR OFFICE OR PRIORITY MAILED TO THE OWNER OR VETERINARIAN CLINIC.

FEES FOR INDIVIDUAL STYLE CREMATIONS RANGE FROM $90.00 TO $250.00 DEPENDING ON THE SIZE OF PET

 

FOR SELECTED CLINICS ONLY

GROUP DISPOSAL

Our VETERINARY SERVICE PROGRAMS

  (CompanionAnimalDisposalService) is only offered to selected clinics. Pets are cremated in groups and cremains are not returned to the owners.

For your peace of mind, you should always ask if the clinic is using a pet cemetery, animal control Department, humane society or landfill operator. Also if the clinic is using a pet cemetery/cremation facility, has any of it's staff ever visited the facility.

The fees and charges are set by the individual veterinarian clinic and will range from $35.00 to $100.00 depending on the size of pet.

We provide a free gravesite or cremation service to certified Leader Dogs, Police/Military K-9 Service & Tracking Dogs, or other certified service dogs (call for details)
